Well 2020 has certainly been a strange year.
On March 23rd our world turned upside down. Pubs closed overnight and for a short while off licences were deemed non essential, sales fell to zero. So we turned off our cold rooms, mothballed the brewery and held a fantastic end of the world ale sale.
Thankfully staff were furloughed and the sun shone.
It has been a winding journey back, we have rekindled old friendships and we have forged new unexpected partnerships. We have relied heavily on experts in their field who selflessly advised on governement grants and funding. We have welcomed old and new customers into the taproom first for packaged beer and as restictions eased draught takeaway.
It has been a steady climb but we now look forward to 4th July, to start delivering again to pubs and also welcoming our own customers back into our Taproom albeit with reservations and table service.
So we would like to take this opportunity before we get caught up in the madness and momentum of returning to normality to thank everyone that has been there and supported us during this time and we hope we have in some way been there for you.
Stay safe, fingers crossed there is no second wave and here’s to full service resuming in the near future.
