BUSNESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – Tyne Bank Brewery, Newcastle
Tyne Bank Brewery are looking for a hungry Business Development Manager to be the face of the brand in the North East. If you love craft beer and have a passion for sales, this could be the perfect position for you!

As our Business Development Manager you will be responsible for driving distribution of the brand. You will grow their existing portfolio of customers and be focussed on bringing on board new local, national and international accounts. You will also spread the word to consumers with tastings and meet the brewery events.  In short, you'll build a rapport with customers old and new alike that will truly maximise sales.
The ideal candidate will need a strong understanding of the Newcastle Craft Beer scene and ideally you will have some sales experience within the On Trade, but individuals with a strong field sales background are still encouraged to apply.  It is essential that you are hungry, motivated and ambitious. As the company expects to grow we are also looking for candidates who have the potential to lead and develop the sales and marketing team.
  • A keen interest and love of Craft beer.
  • Outgoing, friendly, motivated self-starter with ability to deliver results with ‘real’ pace & urgency.
  • Experience of field sales preferably in the On-Trade.
  • Solid understanding of the UK On-Trade market and Beer category market place.
  • Good grasp of Social Media, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise
  • Technical beer dispense experience desirable but not essential
  • Strong administrative skills, conversant with Microsoft Office and highly organised.
  • Strong analytical ability and commercial acumen.
  • Effective communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Regular UK travel will be a function of the role.
  • Full UK driving licence preferably clean.
  • Maximise sales within the area assigned, be able to generate new accounts & maintain relationships with existing customers while providing excellent customer service
  • Accurate and timely reporting to management
  • Industry networking and keeping abreast of key trends
  • Plan and manage events
  • Visit all Key accounts on a regular basis
  • Work flexibly: You will be expected to work one evening per week and the occasional weekend
  • Updating and posting on our website and social media accounts.
