Mark is a time served head brewer who has produced award winning ales and has a flair for creating delicious flavours.

Now given the opportunity to put those skills together his ambition is to design and create ales for Tyne Bank that are both different from the norm, with new yet balanced flavours and brewed to the highest quality which is no less than his fellow Geordie drinkers deserve.

Inspired by the brew pubs of Canada especially Granville Island Brewing, challenged by her husband to brew a decent pint.  Julia looked to turn her hand to the production of the nations favorite drink, beer.

After several years of recipe development in the kitchen, success at the Craft Brewing Association Nationals and a course at Brewlab she set up Tyne Bank and went in search of a Head Brewer who had similar ambitions, to provide local, quality, loved, natural, unpasturised ales.
